This medication contains Orlistat, a lipase inhibitor, which reduces the absorption of dietary fat.

It is used in conjunction with a mildly hypocaloric diet in individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or more. It should be used for weight managment, with the added presence of risk factors such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension or high cholesterol.
