Lalys Pharmacy is proud to have completed the installation of its first automated dispensary unit outside its store on Kingston Road in Fratton.
Using individual codes sent by text to patients, prescriptions can be accessed from the new machine, avoiding the need to queue, wait or have contact with other people if patients are feeling unwell.
‘It also means that if someone would rather stay at home, they can ask someone to collect their prescription for them with the code,’ explains Director of Lalys Pharmacy, Raj Laly.
‘The Kingston Road store was the obvious choice to install the first machine,’ Raj continues. ‘Not only do we have the space, wide pavement and easy access on the high street, but there is street parking for those who might drive from other parts of the city.’
‘If this new way of collecting prescriptions proves popular we will look to see which of our other stores can accommodate the technology.’
